Digital Dash?

anyone have any ideas on a digital dash? I've seen some cyberdine stuff, but i don't like how plain they look. has anyone else seen anything? I don't care if i have to run a screen in my dash....anything at all. i'll make a dash if i can get some reasonable parts to throw together.

i just don't want to throw a bunch of analog gauges in there...i can't really find anything that i like...Defi makes a nice tach, but no one makes a good speedo.

i can garantee that a electric engineer student can whip one up easy if he knows the Voltage to MPH ratio or wat ever its called........

Why don't you just build a car PC and install Conzult (or similar software), then run the output to a 7" LCD screen in the dash just like Santeca did there?

I think everyone has thought about this at least once... Good luck & post pics when you're done.

plus that like free GPS, MP3 player, hell you can hook up a camera to record your runs....hmmm sound like a good idea
