Digital cluster

Hey guys when I purchased my 1993 240sx the owner said the digital cluster was working, It wasn't working I drove the car home when I made it home it turned on, so I turned on and off the car 3 times and it didn't work anymore. I popped hood and checked the battery year it was made in nov 07 so is it possible the alternator charged the battery so the speedo came on ? And I know I need battery for sure, and will it most likely be the reason it's not working.

They can go in and out, it is usually an electric board issue. If you search you will see some possible solutions for a DYI fix, or look for a replacement.
