I picked up a digital cluster and wiring harness at the local pick and pull Sunday. Tonight I got it hooked up and went for a scary drive around the block with the steering column still hanging down.

The speed works, but the fuel gauge and water temp gauge peg out at full and hot. car was started cold, and the car only has half a tank of gas.

Am I supposed to swap the fuel and water temp units too along with the tach, or is it a bad cluster?

Also the turn signal wouldn't work, would that be because it didn't have a full circuit with the four way button still unplugged?

Thank you for looking

so it's most likely a fuse under the kick panel? Thanks for the help.

Also is there a faster way than a drill to turn the mileage? I want to turn it down from 203000 to 142000 so it's matches with my analog cluster. But I don't want to put the one from it in its place

But I don't want to put the one from it in its place[/quote]Remove the clear cover, and black trim inside. There are 3-4 screws holding the odometer in the front and back. Unplug the wiring in the back and you can take it out. Use a plier to undo the little shaft on the left side and you can reset it.

Trust me. Digital cluster is unique and cool, but it's a lot of headache to deal with. I've spent a lot of time and money to make mine function 100% correct. It was kinda flaky, so I had to replace digital display unit with new one, so it should last for a long time. Speed was displaying, but background light didn't come up. It turned out it also powers all background lights too. Yours might work right now, but sooner or later, it'll go bad.

I rigged it up on a work bench and after half an hour it got down to my current odo reading. After driving for a little the fuel and water temp went back to normal.

I think it looks cool for right now, but as you said, I don't plan on this thing lasting all that long, so I kept the analog mostly intact waiting for the tach to go back in.

I just thought for 15 bucks I'd at least get my moneys worth, and it gave me a reason to reconnect my hand warming vents.

Thanks for the help
