Digital cluster problem

I have a 89 240sx fastback with a analog cluster from the factory and I want to install a digital cluster instead. I already bought all of the interior with the cluster and the harness to plug to the main harness. Does I need something else? I called Nissan about that and they said that it will be a lot of work because I will have to put a lot of hours on it. Is their any aftermarket kit to plug instead?

Sorry to say, but that is a real pain. There are a lot of electrical differences between the two clusters. If I remember right you may even need a different ECU. I may be wrong about that however.

And there is no aftermarket wiring at all for the digital cluster to work like a analog cluster?? Anyway I paid 30$ for it and if it was working without all that differanc ebetween them I would have to take it to an electrical guy to made it repair but for 30$...

Well, I was thinking about doing this at one time a loooooong time ago and I was told by Nissan that you had to rewire almost everything that ran to the cluster. After that I took a trip to see an automotive electrician who specialized in Nissans as was told it would cost $300 to do the work. His price was most likely high, but I'm sure it is not cheap.

Well at least I did not started to did it and then had to rewire it back after. Do you know if their is any indiglow cluster for a 89 240 but not in mph but in kmh???
