Digital Cluster and HUD not working

I have a 91 240, and i just recently bought it from a kid for 850 bucks. turned out not to be a bad deal. When i got it the digital speedometer doesnt work nor the HUD. But the tach and all the other gauges like fuel and temp work. But my fuel stops at only half even though i put more than that in it. Anybody know what could be the problem of the Speedometer and HUD? And if it could be replaced or if i could just change it to the analog cluster.

dude i had that problem you can just get an analog DOHC gauge cluster and wiring harness for it. i tried soldering mine and failed miserably. good luck man... enjoy the coupe

thanks and yeah i was figuring that, how much did all of it cost. Like the cluster and wiring? Is it easy to replace?

It's really cheap if you have access to a junkyard. I did mine for under $75. And it's easy to replace. There's the black plastic trim that is held in by 2 screws. Undo those and it pulls right out, just make sure to use the steering wheel adjuster to drop it down all the way. Then the gauge cluster is held in by 3 bolts. Undo those and it comes right out.

If you can't find it at the junkyard you might be able to get it from the complete part-out section in the classifieds under the market place.
