There is more to the Climate control system than just that unit. There are two sensors on the dash that detect sunlight (saw this in the manual). Even if you can get it to control the A/C through the temperature, what about the dual climate control mechanism? I would say negative on this one.

I would say go for it! Anything's possible if you have the time and money.

Jackspat's right tho... you probably need some sort of sensor in order to get the temp readings.

But you see on the picture of the back it looks like the same connections though... I thought is a plug n play type thing.

it may use the same connector but doesn't mean all the pins are used the same way

yeah, I say do it! I think it costs $230 online.... if it works, let us know, I may do the same to my wife's car... remember you'll need to get the center console kit for the premium package vehicles... like this one...http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/ ... atalogid=2

only $20

here's a link that shows all the parts needed for the dual climate control. I hope that is helpful. cost of all parts is close to $255.00. Correct me if i'm wrong but the dual climate looks like it only controls far left vent since the hose looks like it's connected to that one. The center vents look like they're with the right side, I don't think they would be split between the driver and passenger since it's one large vent in the center. I thought about it but looks like too much work with removing the whole dash and the ac set up with the manual is not bad at all.

O.K. So I bought every-thing you need to do the swap and I had to finally return everything because it is not possible There is a CPU that needs reprogramming or you just need the CPU from an altima same car as yours and replace it, but its not just plug and play it is a network of sensors, re-routing wires, adding new relays. So yeah, I've tried it. I got the proof to. The schematic/eletrical diagram. I'm an engineer and there was no way to bypass a few things. You need the whole assembly. Its basically a model switch. Sorry I have to be the guy with bad news but I'm just as upset.
