I have searched the internet through Google, NICO Forum, twinturbo.net, etc... and I can't find an answer. Does anyone know if there is a book explaining all the numbers behind these pictures?

This is what the controls look like before holding down the Off and Auto buttons for 5 seconds to go into diagnostic mode.

This picture shows the SET number at 00, but as you will see in the next picture it goes all the way to 16 and the AMB number changes with each one.

Then the numbers jump...

Once again there are a different range of numbers under each of the 30, 40 and 50. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has ever had this question. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Those are diagnostic codes and it looks good so far with the exception of the #16 shown. See the service manual for more help: Nicoclub.com/FSM

I can't find anything with this type of control in the FSM, only the one's with the picture of a person on the bottom where mine says AMB. Mine was the first edition which they discontinued shortly after production. Can you provide me with a website that might have it? Thanks

1990 was the first year they came out with the AMB. They saw how much trouble it was then changed later in the year. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. We did get the a/c running and boy is it COLD!
