I have had many recent replys to my old post ...http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....a%2Fc... So here goes.

How To Get Digital A/C Controls In Your S-14.(I'm not sure if this will work with early 95 S-14s, I beleive the system is different)Most parts you need are already in the car, the wiring is the main differnce. I redid the whole harness instead of cutting up the harness in the car. The hardest part of building your own harness is finding the plugs to fit, but these plugs are on a lot of nissans in various places on the interior. So heres a list of parts you WILL need (and donor cars I used)1. Japanese Digital Climate Control 2. Plug to fit Japanese Digital Climate Control (from 89 Infiniti i-30)3. Sunload sensor* (from 96 Maxima)4. Plug for Sunload sensor* 5. Ambeint Air Temp Sensor* (from 96 Maxima)6. Plug for Ambient Air Temp Sensor*7. In-Vehicle Air Temp Sensor* (from 96 Maxima)8. Plug for In-Vehicle Air Temp Sensor*9. Aspirator* (from 89 Infiniti i-30)10.Thermo Control Amp (from 96 Maxima)11. Plug for Thermo Control Amp12. Thermal Transmiter (from 89 240sx)13. Plug for Thermal Transmiter * = Not needed if you do not wish the AUTO function to work. AUTO fuction keeps interior at a selected air temperature.-Extra Parts you need to make a new harness14. Plug for Intake Door Motor15. Plug for Door Mode Motor16. Plug for Air-Mix Door Motor17. Plug for Bi-level Door Motor18. Plug for Blower Motor You'll most likely find making a new harness to be the easiest way to do this. You will also need a spool of 20ga wire, butt-conectors or solder, a small screwdriver (from eyeglass kit), Dremmel, weatherstriping, and some time.I will try to post some pics and further directions this week.

The only reason I have a suspision as to why it wont work with a 95 is because when I was peiceing together a harness I wanted a spare US spec Climate Control to tear apart for 1 plug. I was told by a by a coulple of people who were selling them that the 95 one has different plugs. Could this be because they are OBD1??? Or are all S-14 OBD2???

Out of curiosity, what is the thermal control amp? Is it the fan amp? When I did this procedure on my 93, I had to have the motor to run the hot/cold door because the factory slide was just a mechanical connection to that door. Is that not the case for the s14 version? I am thinking hard about doing this to my 96, the wiring wasnt hard on the s13, just finding the parts was :/

Anywho, I cant wait to see your description of the process.

I just got a hold of an S14 climate control and plan on installing it without having the AUTO function working. I will be cutting my OEM harness rather than making a new harness. Since I plan on doing this, do I still need the following:

-Thermo Control Amp (from 96 Maxima)-Plug for Thermo Control Amp-Thermal Transmiter (from 89 240sx)-Plug for Thermal Transmiter

and again since i dont plan on making a new harness I will not need these then:

-Plug for Intake Door Motor-Plug for Door Mode Motor-Plug for Air-Mix Door Motor-Plug for Bi-level Door Motor-Plug for Blower Motor

as you can see in my picture, I have a cut JDM climate control harness going into the back of the JDM climate control. I'm just wondering if I can tap this into my USDM harness?

sorry for all the questions, I just want to get a better understanding of this and make sure I'm on the right track. Your help will be greatly appreciated!:)

Boosted-S: you can use the plugs you have in the car, it shouldnt be a problem to just tap off the plugs you have in the car. your list of things you need is correct, i will do some pics today of the parts you need, i know i said i would have them earlier but i still have yet to get my car in running conditions, lots of missing parts in my GReddy Kit. anyhoot i should have some up tonight.

xxtrizz: i hear that the s-13 is totally diffent becuase you have to get all new motors, s-14s all basically have digital climate control, they just have analog controlers i guess u could say. with s-13s u have to add in motors and such for it to work.
