I have a question for the folks here , i know stuff about cars but one thing continues to confuse me here , can anyone explain this limited slip diff number stuff ?

whats this 1.5 2.0 .5 or whever way stuff mean ? only time i saw this stuff outside here was on grand turismo 3 and i didnt even bother with it there.

i guess im old school or something , im used to the big diff question of "Detroit locker or posi "?
