Diffrential Question (I searched and .....)

Today I changed the fluid in my KAAZ 2 way differential and I was kinda in a hurry and there was a small amount over and since I was in a hurry I put the fill plug back on and there was a little bit still spilling over, I know it might seem anal but was it ok that I put the plug back on even though there was still oil dripping out (very slowly) but all the same it was a lil bit more oil then the fill level and was still dripping but had seemed to settled to a decent level (just a tad bit fuller then the fill hole allows). Should it still be ok? BTW this is a 98 240sx.Thanks in advance and bring on the flames, because I'm pretty sure that I know the answer that it is ok but I just wanted to make sure. I don't see why it would hurt it but I'm not 100% sure so thats why I posted.Peace,Pat

What the hell does that have to do with too much diff fluid?? Anyway no (turbo98) having a little bit extra fluid like you describe is not going to hurt anything. The only thing you need to worry about it how ofter you change the fluid which for the transmission and diff should be about every 3rd oil change! Keep it Sideways!

Yeah I totaly had a brain fart IDK what I was thinking something about moving this weekend and not sleeping and who knows what I was thinking.... looking back I never needed to post in the first place and IDK why I did, chalk this one up to +2 for nothing except upping my post count I guess , -2 any sort of thoght that produced anything that has logical reason.
