just wondering what it is that gives the engine that additional 30 hp, and if its worth it to get the r34 engine.

R34 engine is called a NEO. It has variable valve timing... Top feed injectors... and uhh thats all I know. I think it has something called VTC variable timing control but I could be wrong on that one.

It also has a slightly different block and the oil pan "rails" are different so I hear.. and I'll bet there are alot of other differences.

Concerning whether its worth it or not... if you can get one for the same price as any other older RB25 then maybe. But if it costs more than NO! you could use the xtra cash to soup up the older RB2's a little.. or spend a little more and go with the 26.

auto-sticks are worthless for anything but... driving it like an auto, really, if you want good performance don't go with an auto-stick unless you have to...

just my .02
