I cant seem to get the nuts off the bottom side of the old motor mounts.

Any suggestions?

I've been using a dremel on the passenger side.

is the socket slipping on it, or you cant get enough tq on it?

if the latter, get an impact on it or get a nice breaker bar over your ratchet. they stick pretty good over time.

if you stripped the head, get ready to dremel

passenger side stripped real good. driver side, im having trouble finding the right combination of sockets & whatnot to get at the nut that wont slip off or strip it like the passenger side.

typically, those motor mounts you can get with a 14 mm socket and an extension if u go under the car and angle it right. If its too tight, use the bar from the jack as a breaker bar to gain leverage, also try pb blaster. Make sure you use a 6 sided socket instead of a 12 as well.

what i did for both sides was, got a good 6 point socket on an extension bar, put a racthet on it, and point it out towards the front of the car.

slip a pipe over the ratchet so it sticks out the front of the car also, and ask a buddy to break the bolt loose. make sure you stay under the car and keep pushing the socket/ratchet up and in place so it doesnt slip.

I would just like to say there was a good 2 hours I spent with a di-grinder and a sawsall taking the passenger-side motor mount off my car, piece by piece. Mofo came off though, and I was victorious.
