With mis fires, you must clear and test the coils and plugs. Low battery voltage can also cause this problem.
What shape is your MAF sensor and tour timing should be checked. At the very least.
I have solved my misfire I had a faulty coil on cylinder 2 the shop that replaced my fuel pump must have done something with the coils because I didnt have the misfire before I gave them my truck and I found a ball peen hammer under my hood so I bitched at them and haven't paid them for the pump replacement. Anyway my battery is good and I'm just curious as to y you said to press the gas a third of the way what exactly does that do.
I'll keep you Guys updated with every thing I fix and what not. but I'm waiting for some actual cold weather so I can tell if I'm still having the problem.
My truck is auto and hasn't had any transmission work
