What rear differentials from the 300zx are capable of being mounted on the s13 sohc rear. I wanna know what to look for.

It's the 90-96 na versions... You'll also need the axles I believe.

You really should have searched. and there are DIY guides that can tell you everything. Search and you'll find everything you could possibly want to know.

Later 89 as well will work although they are probly called 90's I'm not sure. Twin turbo rears will work as well but have a different gear ratio. Instead of the 4.08 they are like 3.43 or something.

No, the 3.43 will slow your 1/4 and increase your top end - for every revolution the rear wheels make, the driveshaft spins 3.43 times, vs. 4.08. The increase in speed is obvious, the decrease in acceleration is b/c you lose the mechanical advantage of the lower gearing, and the engine has to put more torque to the driveshaft to get the car moving. Same reason pickups use 410s instead of 380s, you get more towing power.

AAAhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Tooo....much...misinformation..... [faints]

OK...here's the deal:

'90-96 300ZX non-turbo diff works, is the same as your stock 4.083:1 ratio...but has different output shafts. So you need either new output shafts from an S13/14 VLSD...or you can use the axles from a '92-93 Infiniti J30. 300ZX axles will not work...

And the Z32 TT diffs are too large to bolt in...

Here's all the info you need, in one summary page:
