the 180/silvia only came with a viscous LSD (if LSD was present) as far as i know, IF you have a LSD it would be no different than theirs. its an OK diff for track driving but not drifting.

ive heard the 180sx vlsd spins both tires during a launch ,and the stock 240 diff. only spins one tire......??? im wanting both tires lit up, so should i go with the 180sx diff. or are their other alternatives???

vlsd spins both tires when one loses grip, otherwise it acts like a open diff.

the jdm version has a different out put shaft bolt pattern and a higher gear ratio.

so if i was to use the 180sx diff. i would need the axles aswell to bolt right up to my 240sx?? or what mods do i need to do to fit it ?

My car has an open diff and it spins both tires on launch. Ive never had a problem with launching unless its on a really uneven surface. so for straight line race, its just fine. Im actually looking into getting a lsd though, because I want to improve cornering.
