Anyone know a good place to order these individually? The dealership wants $15 a piece, and I can't fathom spending that much on a part that may or may not be used. The current shims I have are just a little loose for preload purposes. Thanks in advance

You mean those metal/rubber washers?

YOU NEED THOSE..! They don't have to be the dealership ones, you can get by with regular metal washers, but you do need them for the swap.

Otherwise the bolt will be resting on the bushing, not the differential. Then your bushing will rip, and the differential will drop a bit, and the driveshaft will scrape on your swaybar... don't ask me how I know.. <_<

I'm just looking out for you bro.

BTW, which differential are you using?

the preload washers are what spacers that go between the differential and the inside of the case. they set a certain amount of tension on the diff's bushings.

Anyways, crisis averted. The shop I'm using did in fact have some when one of the guys that works there said that they had the wrong sized ones.
