I'm looking to put another diff in my car so I can still drive it and take the time to rebuild the one I have. I'm seeing the Z31 has a R200 just like the Z32's NA. Is it the same? Can't get a lot of good pics to tell if there is any difference between the 2. A local yard has 2 86's I could get parts from.

Not sure about the Z31, but you can use a 240SX rear diff or Infiniti J30 rear diff. All of those are R200 (or R200V). You'll probably have to swap rear covers though, depending on which one you find.

Wouldn't the 240 diff be open instead of LSD? Using this I could finally break tires loose in 1st gear? :D

The majority of them will be yes, if you happen to find a HICAS version, then it would be LSD. The J30 diffs are lsd though.
