the diff covers for all r200 diffs will interchange (r200 was used on lots of rear drive nissans and infinitys ) you basically need to use the cover that matches the vehicle as different cars have different mounting points. s13 and s14 are different for example. anyhow to make the answer short and to the point, yes it will

How difficult is it to install a new differential into the pumpkin though? I was reading through the FSM, and it seemed daunting, requiring a page full of specialized tools. Are you planning on doing this yourself? Has anyone done this themselves?

well that can be debated. i have seen many people successfully swap internals from case to case and not have any problems. i personally wouldnt do it without the special tools required to set up a rearend which are costly. but he was basically asking if the rear covers will swap out which basically just requires a new gasket.

I guess I kind of jacked the thread (oops). I had heard that the rear covers were swappable from a write-up I read, but I had never heard anything about swapping the internals. I asked because I have a VLSD and was debating on whether to attempt to install it myself or get it professionally done. I posted on this before but didn't end up getting an answer.

After hearing your take on it, I'm not gonna try it. I'll let someone with the right tools have a go at it.

Thanks!
