I have a 95 240SX SE with an open differential. I'm about to swap in a Viscous Differential from a Skyline (unsure of what year, the mounts are about 1/2 the size of the S14's diff). I need to purchase the differential bushings that mount near the driveshaft. I've seen SPL and a few other companies make solid aluminum bushing for my set-up but I don't want all the noise or vibration, from what other users have complained about. I would like to install some rubber or urathane bushings if possible. Please let me know where I can find them. Thanks. JC

There you go(from google), scroll down some for the differential bushing only. I should say though, Solid aluminum aint that bad :)

Thanks for the effort, but that not the right part. That part fits on the stock diff. I'm trying to install a Skyline Viscous Differential into my S14, and the bushings are a lot smaller than the stocks. Like I said, SPL has the part that fits but I don't want solid aluminum due to the noise and vibration. Please help guys. Thank you.

I think solid aluminum should be fine.
S13's don't have rubber bushings to mount the differentials, they are mounted metal to metal and I don't have any annoying noises from the diff when I'm driving.

Will this not help?

If not, there really isnt that much of a noise difference. You might as well go solid, especially since its only a differential bushing. And since you are going viscous the sound should be slightly dampened. At least from the bushing. If you arent going to install subframe bushings, I dont see how this is an issue, since the actual shift is going to be your issue, not the bushing itself. And again the noise from the differential alone is next to nil

Why a skyline diff anyway?

I posted this exact same post on Zilvia.net and I haven't received any replies. I'm sorry for making this mistake and it will never happen again. Thank you guys for all your help. I'm kinda new to the world of Nissan and have been trying to work on my car all by myself with the help of this website, of course. When I purchased this diff, the guy told me intially this diff came off a Skyline then he installed it in his S13 but didn't have it long due to engine failure. So, now I have it and here are some pics and it seems like the Diff is a JDM S13 Viscous Diff. Sorry for my mistake.

I found a pic of a similar diff on http://www.japaneseengineimport.com/accessories/

Here is a pic of the stock S14 diff.

Thanks again for all your help and sorry for the confusion. Does this JDM S13 Diff require bushings or can a bolt and washer slap right in? Is there any other issues that I will encounter? Thanks again.

just the output flanges, but if you already have them then you should be fine.likes like the ones on a 91-94 j30, so you might just need the axle shafts. someone correct me if im wrong
