Thanks!I've done more that few differentials during my 4X4 life. I've seen some seriously bad stuff on fairly new rigs. This thing is 15 years old, and inside looks like friggin brand new. I mean - I LOVE YOU NISSAN !

Nice! Very clean inside. Tell us how it goes when you swap it in.

Also, I know this is off topic, but can you send me the process of how to replace KS on Y33 to [email protected]

Thanks

Are you going to put in a diff ring n pinion gear in it ? Where would I find such thing ? I would like to repleace my gear with something more aggressive.

Do all 94 up Qs have LSD ? My non T Q seems to have LSD, according to the tag on the diff. Plus I spun the wheels while I had it on my rack and both of em spun the same direction

As far asI know all Q45s have VLSD. For G50 I think it is more expensive to get an "agressive" change of ring&pinion. Hovewer, Y33 is identical to 300ZX with an exception of pinion companion flange (Q45 is slightly bigger). So If you wish to change R&P I would suggest you to find a reputable shop with a lot of diff experience. Your Q45 is 94, so you would have to pay a bit to get it changed! To answer your q, I am not changing anything. I got this diff extremely cheap. I am gonna prep it and put in under my Old LAdy. It's got 4.83:1 vs stock 3.692:1 which is 15% increase (lower) in torque transfer. You can improve your off-line time and rolling acceleration. However, MPG will decrease slightly. To some people it is important, to me it is irrelavant because it is not my commuter car. My bicycle is!

Cheers!
