no they're the right ones...its just that the lack of space is preventing me from using those sockets to its potential...i only have about 1.5-2 (if even) inches of clearance...i just wanna know other methods of getting a stripped nut off...anymore help would be great...

Vice grips really really really tight followed by slow consistent force.

alot of lub of your choice (WD40, PB blaster....) & the what gumby74 said. or take a cut off wheel and make a slit(s) in the bolt(s) so a impact screw driver could be used. LOL it worked for me

If the sockets designed specifically for removing stripped nuts won't work, you're only choice is brute force or a cutting wheel. I have seen people pound the wrong size socket on bolts and them remove them, but the socket is pretty much trashed at that point.

Good luck and report back what actually works.

Yeah about this topic...i ended up buying a set of gator grip sockets...good stuff except i didn't have enough clearance to work with them. So i ended up cutting it off.

Dremel: Grind off the bolt head if you cant get anything grab the nut or bolt then knock it out, just don't dig into the drive shaft.
