So, I know there is versions like S13 S14 and S15 and such, but I also know there is a Silvia J's Q's and K's. Whats the difference between those, and how do I know what mine is?

Quote »The S13 Silvia was the first S-series car to use the J's , Q's, and K's (references to the face cards of English playing cards) designations for the different trim levels or "grades."

The J's was the base model with a very basic interior, few standard amenities, and 14" steel wheels. The Q's model offered a slightly more refined experience and received electric options and an available LSD. The K's grade received the turbocharged CA18DET or SR20DET (depending on the year of manufacture) in addition to the options offered on the Q's.

On top of the K's and Q's models, The Club and Diamond Selection packages came with specific options bundled together. For example, all K's Club Selections came with projector headlamps, a rear spoiler, and 15" aluminum wheels. And all Q's models came out with Automatic Climate Control

The rare Silvia A's "Almighty" was introduced in late 1992. Trim wise, the Almighty slotted between the J's and Q's, offering options not available on J's, but not including all the standard features of Q's. The Almighty was purportedly offered as a "purer" form of the sports car. The only available engine/transmission was the naturally-aspirated SR20DE coupled with the 4-speed automatic.[/quote]Straight from wiki.

240sx's didn't utilize those trim level designations. your s14 is either a base model or an se. it's a 240sx, not a silvia.

Well, yea, its an SE. But reason why, is because when I re-paint it and such, I was gonna put the JDM badges on it, and I need to know what version mine is. My buddy has a 1997 240sx. Re painted his, got a carbon fiber hood, and replaced the badges with the JDM badges, and hes got the red Silvia K's badges. So yea

what i'm saying is, there is no "correct" badges to put on since usdm cars don't have the same available options as jdm cars.

unless he's got an s14 sr and all jdm kouki k's aero, it's not really correct to have that badge. it's more of a "hey, i got jdm badges" kind of thing.

And no, hes got a KA. So then in your opinion, what badges should I put on it? Cause I was planning on putting the JDM badges on after I painted it (which isnt for a while) but I am planning on getting one of these key blanks and making it for my car, and I dunno which one to get.

The first 3 are the JDM badge key blanks

doesn't matter to me. put whichever ones on there that you like. my car has nothing on it except the nissan emblems. it's what i like. if you want to put them on, pick the one that you like the best.

Well, then let me ask you this. What color would look good with Starfire Blue Pearl? Red, Green or Black?

Search in the future. This is a covered topic on NICO. The trim level descriptors have been discussed many times for all generations of the Silvia.
