so i just purchased a q45 throttle body, it was off a 1996. what i just noticed is that the tps on it is identical to my rb25 series 2 tps. as in it dosen't have a single plug and then a pig tail and plug comming off it, it simply has 2 plugs built into the tps and a pig tail, 1 grey and 1 brown plug, im not sure whats up with that but i can;t find anything that looks like it online. as far as everything else it looks right. same lines, same bolt patter, 90mm. i guess i could just swap over my rb s2 tps now or would i even have to? the plugs are the same on this one. just looking to see if anyone else has seen anything like this

i'm pretty sure that's off the newer q45's. if you look inside it should have 2 throttle plates as well. the throttle body everyone uses is off a 90-93 q45

ok...well i just know the 90-93 for the gasket from when i did mine. i just did a spark plug change on a 99' q45 the other day and it had 2 tps' on the throttle body and 2 plates inside. i just assumed. are the tps's on the same side of the tb? or opposite? you can always take a DMM to them to figure out which is which

heres some pics, im seeing minor differences, either way im gonna try to make it work. its the same size, and since the tps looks identical i don;t see why i can't just swap the rb25 s2 one in and call it a day.

Or if your a real cheap arse like me. (or you cant find a q45 with a tps on it) grab one off of a vg30 motor open it up and make it match the rb's It really isnt hard all you need is a dremmel or a drill to chew out the plastic track and it works fine.
