i've been doing my research and i keep getting mixed answers..

i have a series II rb25det and i just fried the resistor and transformer that make the tachometer signal, so i need a replacement ECU..

will a series I ecu work with my s2 motor? does anyone have any personal experience, either successfully running this particular setup or failing in attempting to run this setup?

thanks ahead of time

I've had success with running a Series 1 ECU on a Series 2 motor without issues.

But if you need a replacement Series 2 ECU let me know.

just to clarify.. you used a series 1 ecu on a series 2 motor and harness complete with the built-in ignitor coilpacks.. just want to make sure because my friend who i bought my motor from said that he tried before and it fried his coilpacks..

and how much would a sII ecu set me back?

Car is a S13 with a Series 2 RB25, harness, and coil packs... ECU had shorted out due to water damage... replaced with a Series 1 RB25 ECU, ran fine ever since, it must have been a few months now.

Just had another come in, inventory hasn't been updated yet...http://shop.rawbrokerage.com/p...yId=5

well i bought a ecu.. i thought i was buying a series II ecu but turns out that the guy sent me one with the code "TJ" which from what i know is a series I, correct? well it works fine as far as i know, so i guess thats more evidence for using series I ecus on series II motors
