different motors?

ok so im sure some of you have seen me and know im new to this..now i know the 89 and 90's have the ka24e and the newer 240s have the ka24de and i know the difference is the dohc...i know you can put a ls1 from teh corvette in and i think the rb26..and ive seen some people with the ca18de? so my question is can someone explain to me what the difference is with that motor and maybe which car its in? thanks
