Different location for electric trunk opener ?

I have an 08 Altima 3.5SE Premium Coupe which I took delivery July/08.

The inside trunk release is at the same location where you stick the keyfob in for valet. I have always had trouble trying to locate the release.

While in the Nissan dealership..I sat in a new(er) one in the show room, and the trunk release has been move up the the spot where there are 3 buttons...(just above the keyfob hole)...

this must be a running design change?

Mine is next to the Key Fab Port too, under the 3 buttons....

You are very attentive. I've been driving this car for two weeks and hadn't notice the difference. I had to go check and you're right.
