Different Doors ???

I have a 95 S14 stock right now. When i bought the car it did not have a driver side window motor and reg.

I just bought one of of a guy from here and for some reason when i tried to put it in today it didn't fit perfect.

There is two parts that attach to the door itself.

1. the motor

2. looks like the support brace or something like that.

the part that attaches to the window itself i didn't try that yet today to see if that is a match or not but tom. i will see.

the motor matches perfect but the other support brace is about two inches too short on the side where you can do the adjustments to.

my question is IS THERE TWO DIFFERENT SIZES./?/??

Its not to big of a deal as long as tom. the window matches.. but the support brace isnt' that bad of a prob. i can just drill a hole for it but i will then lack the ability adjustment.

Just let me know if i got the wrong one thanx

It doesn't appear that there are two different ones. on the courtesy nissan website it shows all the window stuff only for 95-98 240sx's. I'd compare part numbers. maybe you ended up getting one off an s13.

Your from easton I see, I'm from bethlehem. I was at harry's u-pull-it in pennsburg, pa (about a half hour away) about 2 weeks ago. They had a kouki s14 there, it was stripped to basically nothing. I don't recall if the windows and related parts were still there or not. But it's worth a shot if you have the wrong one.

I can't stand the scissor type the s14's have, hard to fix, they straight up should be replaced. On my s13 the cable broke and I got a piece of high strand bicycle brake line and lock nuts. Saved myself a good chunk of change and worked like a champ for two and a half to three years. I bought a brand new regulator once I was out of my job slump. I doubt very seriously there are two different sizes for the s14.

yeah i've been to the one in allentown a lot and the one in hazelton once that one is huge.. never been to pennsburg though.. im gonna have to give that one a look real soon. thanx. nice clean car by the way.

More than likely the guy sold you the wrong side for your car.

for images, you need to use [img] tags. the img and /img need to be in [] and put the URL inbetween the bracketed tags.

well thats the thing i pulled the panel off of the pass. side and that bracket is the 2 inches longer than the one i have so it couldnt be the wrong side. i dunno i'll get the pic in a couple of min. so everyone can see.

see what i mean this s*** is pissin me off guy said it came off of a s14 driver side but then it dont fit.... any ideas

Yea the hazelton one is huge! I've been there once about a year ago. Did you get over to the pennsburg one today to see if the s14 was still there? You emailed and asked if I remembered if it still had the front suspension. If it doesn't... I know there is an s13 at the allentown Harry's that is still pretty complete. i dont know if you could use the struts from an s13 or not.

na i didn''t get to go there yet ...but i got a guy in allentown that will get me one...

yeah that is a piece of wood holding the window up....when i bought the car the guy said that the window used to work and when i pressed the button nothing happened...so i didnt think anymore about it thinking it was just a motor prob. or something...not big deal.... yeah right when i finaly got it home i ripped the panel off to see that.... ....called him up and got 100 bucks back.....so then the hunt began to find the reg. and motor now just waitin to get the right one.. hopefully soon.

is there a reason you dont just get a whole new power door?

least for an S13 they arent stupid expesnsive.......... dont think they are for S14s either.

worse case is you have to do some splicing and maybe some paint.

why would i do that when all i need is the window motor and reg. its really hard to find an s14 in the junk yard around here. besides i have a motor and reg. just the wrong one....guy i bought it off of is working on getting me the right one.

I guess because 240s are like stupid easy to find locally........ I would rather just get something that worked than try and fix all the f*** ups including a piece of wood as a prop for the door
