I've rented the QX56 many times on for long trips and I really like the look and feel of it. We're considering getting one this summer. We'll be picking up a pre own and I'm not sure beside the name change, are there any notable difference betweent he 56 and 80? I noticed a slight style change with the front bumper but feature wise, is it worth it to shell out the extra $$ for the 80?

What's the reliability of them?

No real changes - Small stuff, such as new front and rear fascias, new wheel designs, some different paint colors, and a few interior edits.

The pricing shouldn't be much different - but if you can get a 56 for less, I'd say go for it.

Reliability seems to be stellar - It's based on the long-standing Patrol, and the drivetrain (VK56DE engine) is bulletproof. This is the same engine that has powered the Armada, the Titan, and the M56 since 2003.

yeah agree here. if you can get a 2012 for less or 2011 then go for it! the minor upgrades are not a big deal.

Thanks for the resonse, This body style is now 4 years old, most manufacture change their body style around 4 years but some takes longer. When is the QX expecting a major body makeover?

Not Nissan. Think about the Titan / Armada... they've gone well over a decade without major redesigns.

Considering the QX80 is based off the global Patrol, I wouldn't anticipate a major redo in the next few years.

again i agree. the changes were what was posted by the admin. cosmetic front, different wheels, some interior trim. this design will be around for a very very very long time.
