had a few questions regarding japanese y33s compared to usdm y33s, and its a little confusing seeing as how people in the usa swap japanese parts, and vice versa for japan, so i cant tell which is stock parts and all that.

so, on this car, thoes are usdm headlights (or were the japanese headlights the same halogen housing for 97-98?), and usdm zenki grill with optional chrome accessory? and a cima badge on the hood (is that supposed to be a hood badge? i know some of them come with a hood mascot, are there different trim levels or somthing?)

this one is jdm grill without optional chrome accessory, jdm hood mascot, usdm headlights (same question about the halogens as above)

whats up with this trunk? its like zenki trunklid with the larger second taillights, but it has the chrome trim above the liscense plate like the kouki usdm trunk.

last thing, did japanese cars ever get the usdm trunk with the single small reverse light? ive never seen this trunk on any japanese car.

thanks to anybody who answers any part of this post

I don't think so. But they did have four wheel drive, and according to Jesda, G50 type semi-active suspension. JDM Nissans had a lot of things we never saw. The only thing we had that they never saw was the VK45DE in the Y34.

cool, thanks for the info. its a bit hard to find this stuff out, seems that the info isnt that available. PS where in austin do you live if you dont mind? just curious, i know some guys in austin.

zenki is a japanese word basically meaning first termkouki meaning latter term or final

ex. i would refer to 97-98 y33 as zenki and 99-01 as kouki

this is a common thing to refer to early and late model fc, fd, nsx, 240sx, supra, any japanese car that undergoes relativley major change without actually changing the platform.
