A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

...okay, I'm sure this probably a really stupid question, but I'm not very car-smart so my apologies.

I am shopping around for a Sentra but I'm doing a lot of my searching online and I'm not sure the difference between an XE, GXE, CA, and an SE. Can someone please explain the difference to me?

THANKS a ton!!

GXE is the standard, bottom rung with a 1.8 (B15) or 1.6(B13/14). The XE is a GXE with a utility package or some such nonsense. The 1.8S is the sport version of the GXE. The SE (B15) has an SR and is the top tier for 00-01, the B13/14 SE is a 1.6 trim right below the SE-R. The current 06 SE was a 1.8. Somewhere around 02 there was an SE "Special Edition" that was a GXE with a QR dropped in. Now the SE is a 2.0, and I assume that the 1.8 is still around for the GXE/XE. I think the CA is simple a Cali model, but I might be wrong.

Hey Abby, I'll make it a little easier for you. My car is a '06 B15 1.8S (base model), Joe's car was a '01 B15 SE ( SR20DE, 5spd, 6 spoke wheels, etc), Jerry's Sentra is a '98 B14 SE also ( SR20DE)

This is an old thread, I know. However I do not have any issues with digging old threads up if I have a question that is on topic instead of starting a new one.

Anyway onto the question.

Front and Rear brakes for a b13/b14 gxe are?
