differences between s14 and s13 ka intake side

hey everyone, im in the process of temporarily dropping an s13 motor in my 95 s14, and im trying to remove the s13 egr and vacuum line crap at the end of the motor and put my s14 stuff there instead because their different. so i pulled out this adjuster thingie and into the intake manifold goes this little knob that u can turn 90 degrees, is this a valve of some sort?



it had a brass bell in the end that looked like adjusted something, i hope i can just flatten that piece out and put the s14 piece instead of it because the s14 doesnt have any knob like that going into the intake
