Differences between KA24DE's

I recently got a good deal on a 93 240sx coupe with 139,000 on the clock. The KA that is in it has a spun rod.....or so I'm told. The guy let me have a KA out of a 99 Frontier. I was told that there is a difference in the engines by way of the dizzy. I plan to use all the drive acc. from the KA that is in the car along with he intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and all misc small parts. Mainly I am asking can I use the newer KA block and head w/o any issue's.

bump, could someone please help? I know it's not a "which set of big cams?" or "where to get a turbo manifold? question but I need help.

I'm gonna say you can but don't forget the oil pan is probably different too. The reason I say you can use a newer block is because many use the the s14 engine on their s13 chassis but keep all the s13 stuff like you are trying to do. Let us know how it turns out

Thanks, I had allready planned on using everything externally from the S13.

I just got the engine to the house lastnight and it looks great and with only 55,000 miles on it I think I got a good deal on it all. The car is a 93 coupe with absolutly no rust at all, good paint and no clearcoat flaking. The only thing wrong with the interior is the bolster on the drivers seat has about a 3 inch worn/tear place in it. I got the car and the extra engine and the car has a Apexi N1 exhaust on it. I traded a blown 89 Ford Probe GT Turbo for it.

the s13 is OBD1 but the ka from the frontier is OBD2, i dunno if that will affect your swap. are you using the whole engine from the frontier or just the block?
