I've seen that the Truck Es make 134 hp, 240SX Es make 144(?), and the DEs make 155. Why do the 240SX E's make more than the truck ones? What's the difference?

in addition to

" trucks have a terrible intake manifold and a different cam(s) too "

Trucks are geared more for torque while 240 are more for horsepower.AS for the de it has twin cams while the e has only one cam.hence the power bost there.

hope this helps:)

Will cams swap between the 2? I know I could swap over a manifold using the 240 fuel rail, throttle cable, and throttle linkage w/ TB and manifold. My injectors would drop right in.

I might be purchasing a 89 240 w/ a blown ka24e but with a very good transmission and head. Could I buy a ka24e from a nissan hardbody for considerably less, and then swap out cams/Intake manifold and expect the same power as the 240 KA24E? Are there any other differences at all between the hardbody E and the 240 E? Will the transmissions bolt up? Will the 240 E wiring harness and ECU work? I've searched, but have found nothing so far : /
