The critical thing is that the US VH41 is a light duty cheaped up version of the JDM VH41 which is robust like the VH45.

so what would you choose a JDM VH41 or a USDM VH45???

VH45 anyday.

Depends on the swap conditions... JDM VH41 fits into cars easier due to accessory placement, and doesn't have the same emissions stuff as the US VH45. The downfall being you need to rebuild the bottom end with VH45 internals to get the increased stroke.

I'm Biased, Back in 92 I remember driving a friends parents Q45 for a few days, it was a 90. So I love the 90's, especially since the motors were cutting edge at the time, and made the very large car, very quick.\

Yes 41, does mount alt in a really convinent way, but Thankfully it all fits in a Z32 with the VH45.
