S12 was an old *** piece of ****. I don't even know how I would descirbe it. The difference between them is that S12, S13, S14, and S15 were all of the different years and body styles of the 240sx. The S12, of course was the first in the series. Then there was the S13, it came in a hatchback, a coupe, and a convertible. The years of the S13 were 1989 to 1994, the 1989 to 1990 had the KA24E engine, which had 130 horsepower. The 1991 to 1994 had the KA24DE which had 15 more horsepower than the KA24E, It had 155 horsepower. THe KA24E was an SOHC(Single over-head cam) motor, and the KA24DE was a DOHC(Dual over head cam) motor. THe S13 has the flip-up headlights, unlike the other 240sxs'. The S14 came in only a 2-door coupe. It had the beam headlights in the front. THere were two styles for the S14. Kouki or Zenki. THe S14 also had the KA24DE like the 1991 to 1994 S13s. THe S14 was the body style from 1995 to 1998. The S15 is rare to find in America, it was never actually sold in America. The S15 is the body style from 1999 and on. The S15 had the SR20DET which is a turbo DOHC motor. It had 250 horsepower. The S15 was also only sold in a coupe.

There, finally, now anyone who does a search will never have another question like this again.

I think in 94 it was only available as an automatic convertible if memory serves me correctly. And the KA24E had around 140hp stock, not 130.

That's a negative, Ghost Rider. The convertible was introduced in 1992. However, the convertible was the only model available as a 1994 model.

You're an ignoramus.

The S12 was a fantastic platform for the time, adapted to and successful in all sorts of motorsports. It is still a VERY fun car today that can be had for a song because it's underappreciated.

Just because you haven't seen it in Grip video doesn't make it lame, taintgobbler.
