hey im pretty new here so if this question has came up before i couldnt find it. I just purchased a 1989 nissan 240sx se that was for lack of words a half assed auto to manual swap. he never swapped the harness and ecu. so my question is is it ok to use the auto harness/ecu on a manual engine if not ill purchase a manual ecu but how do you tell the difference between the auto and manual ecu?

Yes it'll run strange though when you come to a light. With a manual ECU when you shift to netural or push down the clutch the rpm's instantly drop to near idle. With a auto ecu in a manual car when you come to a stop with the manual in netural the engine rpm will slowly go down like auto's do..

Not that big of deal, and that's the only difference I noticed.
