these showed up a couple days ago and i just opened them. why does one have 2 extra holes drilled and the other does not. there were no extra specifications (l, r, abs, tcs, etc.) and they both have the same part number so i'm wondering why i got 2 different rotors.

There is the possibility one was packaged wrong. Are they both the same height, diameter, and thickness? If so, I do not see an issue. You might also call Brembo directly to ask them.

everything matches up dimension wise. my only concern is if i need the holes on both sides. if they are unnecessary then it doesn't matter.

All of my Stillen Brembos have the extra holes for retaining bolts on the G50.

Might want to paint the hubs if not plate those before you put them on as they rust like an anchor.

Any error across hub face gets multipled out to edge of rotor. Hubs must be spotless and true better than 1/1000th otherwise rotors will be out of spec when installed on warped hub.

Paint, rust, and corrosion are insulators when upset the heat transfer to wheels and hubs slowing down cooling and operating rotors hotter.

well the options are paint or rust so i'll take my chances with paint. i've always used brembos and they rust like no other.

i'm gathering you are referring to the rear of the rotor, which i won't paint.

This post is timely

I need a set of 4 for the 94Q.

Joe's looking for a price for me... said he hadn't ordered any sine 06... in the meantime...

Which exact ones are really best and where do you get them?

Peter

Hard to beat the factory rotors at about $80/each from Joe{extra 5% off if ordered this month only} both my front and rear factory rotors lasted OVER 100,000 miles.

Dont check Tire Rack or you will cry. Do they say made in Canada on the inside?

Joe's price on the plated and drilled Brembo Stillen when on special is so close to OEM and the Brembos are so much better there is not much debate for me. Actuallly none even at regular price.

That's interesting because Joe can usually get them. His specials are the best.

$71 and $77 front and rea for Brembos now, about twice what I paid for them a year and a half ago. They also have slotted ATE and cryo power slot. ATE are a superior rotor also.

i was a little confused as well since i read of his great deals on the rotors.

i've always used brembo and probably always will. the only other company that has caught my eye is centric. i like the e-coating and cryo process but i haven't heard enough about them to give them a try yet.

Where is a good place to buy the centric rotors, I believe q45 has used these with success.

Every large metro has a local jobber/wholesaler who delivers to auto shops.

I believe all the Porterfield rotors are cryogenically treated also.

well I bought some centric rotors, but they are not going to arrive in time so I am going to have to get them locally.

I have no idea how to find and local "jobber" who sells centric.

So I am thinking I will go with napa "premium" rotors

http://www.napaonline.com/Mast...emium

any other local options?

I would just get factory originals from an Infiniti dealer before I trusted Napa.....I have had every genuine OEM Infiniti rotor last over 100,000 miles, front or rear. Why gamble to save a few bucks?

Purchase from your local Infiniti dealer before throwing money away at NAPA.

The reason the holes are there is so if the rotor is stuck on the hub you put a bolt in there to force it off... I had that happen when I did brakes on a G35 and it was amazing!

Ive had brembo blanks on my Q for about 2 years now, maybe 10-15k miles and turned once, about time for another turn.
