Hello Guys,

as you can see, I'm a newbie!I am from the Netherlands, and I'm planning to buy an Infiniti FX35 in the US.

Unfortunately this modell is not sold in Europe. Can anyone confirm that the Murano and the Infiniti FX35 has the same engine? This is very important for maintenance etc. The Murano is sold over here, but the FX35 not..

I hope you guys can help me out!

Thanks,Tony

Yes, both cars use the VQ35DE engine. That is where similarities end, though. The Murano is a transverse setup, the FX is longitudinal, based on the same FM (for Front Midship, referring to placement of the engine) platfrom that the Z and infiniti line use.

The transmission used on the FX is more convetnional than on the Murano.

I dont know if you can get Infiniti G35, Nissan Skyline ( new generation) over in Europe, but its the same transmission as in auto versions of those cars.

The 6 cyl Nissa Fuga ( available in Europe?) also shares many components with the FX.

Finally there are plenty of dealers in USA that will glady ship FX parts if needed.

While expense will be added thru shipping some expense will be taken out, cuz site sponors give huge discounts

Fred..
