I have a "reman" ka24e truck motor that I have never taken out of crate. Now I am rebuilding my 24e car motor and would like to use some of the pieces from the other one. Are the pistons, crank, head, and cam interchangeable??? When looking at rebuild kits online I found a site saying you absolutlely could not switch the crank. I can't find part numbers to see if they match exactly.

as far as I know the oil pan and pickup are the only things different(block wise)

since you have a whole engine just swap it in whole(at least the short block)-it will certainly work that way

crankshaft/block/rods/pistons are all different. The front timing cover/timing chain/oil pump/cylinder head/camshaft are all the same (except they were manufactured different places).

truck crank is longer overallrods are press fit stylepistons are press fit style

block is different in many ways as well, most is self explanitory.

You can use the head/cam/timing chain setup to direct swap over to your 240sx kae. Pistons and rods will also swap between but piston pin style is different, dont mix and match.

edit: If the reman engine is 94+ model it may be a large port version (truck). This would provide even less usable parts for your 240sx version.
