How much of a difference would I notice between going SMIC and FMIC on the JGS kit? I'm alittle torn, I already bought a SR SMIC with BOV for $35 bucks while if I wanted to go FMIC I would have to spent $200 for just the FMIC intercooler.

The piping would be fabricated at the shop either way... I'm shooting for 235rwhp... I was hoping of going SMIC (maybe setup as FMIC) then going FMIC in 6-12 months...

I searched but found mostly sale threads...

Thanks

How much boost you wanting to push??Stock sr20 intercoolers cant take to much boost without getting heatsoaked..If your going to be running low boost 10psi and lower. Then the sr20 intercooler will be perfect..Anything higher get the front mount..

you might aswelll get the fmic since your fabricating your own piping. Even with low boost on the T3 you will be maxing out the smic. someone is selling a hybrid fmic on the for sale section.

Hi guys, after much thought I've decided to just go front mount. I'll sell the sidemount for 20 bucks or so and keep the stock BOV.

Thanks all :D

Good call, Serge.Check out http://www.johnnyracecar.com The site's been down for a few months, but if you can get in touch with them, they make good ICs for a good price (under $200).
