Difference between S13 SR20 Redtop & Blacktop?

Can anyone help me out with this. What years were the redtop and blacktop S13 made, and what are the differences? I am not referring to the S14 blacktop.........just the 2 different turbo motors for the S13. Am I correct about both red and blacktop SR20s being made for the S13?
