So i bought a RB26 crankshaft and rods and the rods are IDENTICAL to what came in my Neo RB25. No one has been able to tell me 100% that the Neo's came with 26 rods or not. People have said they're 50% thicker than the 25 rods but if that's the case and the neo's didn't come with 26 rods i got ripped off.

question:

i know they're the same length, but how can you differentiate between the two as they're identical in length; demensions.

could you weigh them to see if there's a difference in weight because of the properties? i can give part numbers off the rod itself if you need them. someone has to know

thx

The RB26 rods are noticeably thicker down by the large end.

So you can use 26 rods in a 25? Do you need 26 pistons to work with the 26 rods to put in the 25 block? I just want to make sure. Thanks!

25 and 26 rods are the same length and can use the same bearing. If you are using them in your RB25 you'll use RB25 pistons.

Rule of thumb:

RB25 crank - use RB25 pistonsRB26 crank - use RB26 pistons

Either setup, RB26 Rods can be used.
