This is a list of products I can get from DELPHI for my 92Q. I'm not clear on the difference between these and OEM.

Is there a major price difference? I would suspect that it's a re-badged Bosch unit. I think Bosch Japan makes the OEM injectors.

You can even see the Nissan Logo stamped on this knock sensor. Maybe someone else can compare the numbers stamped on it?

If a parts retails at $100, dealer cost is $50, factory cost was maybe $25 [huge quanitities]..........the oem manufacturers built extra for future sales to factory for replacements and sales to others.

With only 90-93 Q45 and TT 300zx using them......warehouses are dumping their old slow moving stock...................with Nissan's last use of the early 90-93 injector now over 11 years old and only <50,000 x 8 =400,000 sold to Nissan.

With 120 dealers carrying few and relying on Nissan warehouse, I wonder how many remain in US..........could the over stock have been sold off.

My guess is there were at one time 100,000 extra pieces in the world bet that is down to 10,000 and maybe a few thousand in US.

Not a lot if a sudden run on injectors.

After 7 years [the legal life of car] proprietary designs are often sold to others than Nissan.

I have 4 brand oem spares as insurance, yet T3 stocks none due to low usage in past.......same with local dealers who may have 1-2 and won't sell them ........we must wait a day of two from Jacksonville Warehouse or borrow one of mine.

The 370cc injector was an uncommon design [side rail feed] but similar to 255 cc used on V6 of that era.

What other size injector will drop in the fuel rail without modifications?

One could get the 550cc injector for the Z32 and have the ECU adjusted by Jim Wolf. This would leave some room for future mods such as supercharging.

The stock ones are good to 508 HP, so i owuld think that 6 psi (approx 400ish HP) would give us plenty of reliability.....

Unless of course your get better internals.....

I checked out as much literature on Delphi products just to see if they bought up over stock or had Nissan produce products and just slap Delphi's name on them and found out through reading tons of stuff that they claim their products, made by Delphi, are equal too and in most cases "better" then OEM parts.... Further reading found me surprised to see that the "better" then was implied to older parts like stuff for my date of car.

After changing my fuel pump today(no more fricken noise!!!!) I found an old catalog from Delphi over my friends and decided to call just to see if the price for my fuel pump(part number on reply above) would be cheaper then what I just paid. One of those "what the heck" things.... Well I called and the first person had no idea what I was talking about, so they transfered me to someone who transfered me to another person they thought could quote a price. After speaking with that person, they put me through to someone who indeed did quote a lower price!! Now after 20 minutes I was pretty happy thinking I had just found the missing Q link. Now before I could ask about my fuel injectors I was politly thanked and then hung up on. I think they thought I was through.

I want 8 new injectors and because of the price of each and the fact that I just bought a transmission, driveshaft, transmission mount, fuel pump, valve cover gasket rtv, rubber saprk plug boots, seats and misc. other stuff and some labor charges for the transmission install,,,,,, I'm just looking for a bit of a break.

I'll try monday to see what Delphi can do for me.

Thats pretty good info. How much lower is "lower" on the fuel pump? I paid $325 with tax for my last one.

Whoa, who did you get that pump from(how long ago?) and was it just the fuel pump? I paid $229.00 plus tax from Joe. To be fair with our wonderful sponsors(at least they've been good to me) the price from the rep at Delphi was less by about 9%. Now on 8 injectors, if that's the same, then it's worth my checking in to.
