This is a pretty basic question but i can't find the answer so far, I found a timing belt kit from goodyear with part # GTK0180 for a sweet price but it shows it's only for 93, i looked this up and found out 94 up the part # is GTK0251 but is the same size and everything. Does anyone know what the difference is between the years and can i use the 93 on my 95? On a side note I've also found timing belt kits on eBay and in the part number they give with there off brand kits, it has that same tbk0180 or similar part numbers which I've found to somewhat be a stock type number for 93 from factory i think.

Well any insight to this wonder of mine would be awesome!

A lot of times, nissan seems to change part numbers without changing a part. Maybe they have someone different manufacture the part, I don't know, but I go through this when getting parts for my SR. I go to the dealer and they're like OH.. THAT ONE WAS REPLACED WITH THIS ONE. The only thing that will be changed is the last 3 numbers or so. Something you can do is go to autozone, and see if their part number is the same for the 93 and the 95. If it is, you know it'll work.

Just to clarify, the Nissan OEM belt is Kevlar and fits '93 to '97 models. Its good for 105k miles.

Aftermarket belts are non Kevlar and are good for 60k miles.
