Don't want to sound like an a$$ or anything, but there is QUITE a bit of info on this if you searched for it. This topic has been gone over so many times. Also, if you are putting a SR into a 200sx USDM, you are looking in the wrong area. Those cars, if it is the USDM 200sx, use the Bluebirds and GTi-R motors, which is for FWD cars. The red and blacktops are RWD.

So you have a RWD 200SX from Europe with the CA18DE(T)? Imported through military?

Copied from somewhere else (doesnt cover details of S14 or S15 SR's)...

Wiring from the 1991-1996 SR20DET's is different. The 1997-1998 wiring is pretty much the exact same, the difference is the pinouts on the ECU. From what Jeff at HT has indicated in the past, if you end up getting a late model ECU and have a redtop/early blacktop SR then you dont need to acquire a new ECU, you simply have to repin a couple wires. BTW if you use the late model ECU on an early model S13 SR only the first cylinder will fire.

a fair warning. i understand that the sr20 or ca18 will drop into the s12, but i dont think its going to be the bolt in that the s13 and s14 are. maybe look for an fj20?

thanks for the info christopher. and s13sr20chris i know its gonna need a lot of fab work but its no big deal, i was going to drop a L28 turbo till i noticed that i would have to modify the crap out of the hood just to close it. so i know what im in for just want to get my research out of the way to make it as easy as possiable.
