Diff question

Right now I have a 96 w/out abs and w/out a lsd, but I bought an entire vlsd pumpkin off ebay. I'd swap them, but the vlsd pumpkin is 1/2" longer because it came off a car with abs.

my question is, can I swap the vlsd (or an S15 helical unit) mechanism and output shafts onto the diff carrier from my non abs non vlsd car?

from what I hear the extra 1/2 inch won't cause any problems if you swap the whole thing in.

I dunno about swapping internals though

Its also possible to get a driveshaft from a car with ABS from a junkyard.... bolt off, bolt on, done....
