best bet is to buy a used diff. they have different thickness so its cheaper to buy used pumpkin with diff. you can buy the shimms from nissan but you need to know the thickness

wow please dont go to a dealer just pick up a used one or up grade to either a j30 vlsd or a z32 , the j30 with a 6bolt is a direct swap and will only cost you about 200 shipped ( thats on the high side of prices)

I'm reading dont buy shims to properly align your diff carrier, buy a used one?

It makes more sense to me to replace the seals, shim, balance and adjust the run out and have a "rebuilt diff'

You can also shim the VLSD carrier so it locks harder and more often.
