First, I used search.

Second, how do I change the fluid in the diff. I looking in my chiltons and it had 1 diagram of a IRS diff and said check the fluid using the rear plug and also use the rear plug to fill. I got under my car and noticed there are two plugs, one on the rear and one on the side. Is the rear plug for draining, or checking? Is the side plug used for filling? How much fluid goes in? I read that its 1.5L and also, is 75W-90 an ok weight?

teh rear plug is to drain...

Make sure you get the fill plug out befor eyou take out the drain plug. After its all drained completely then put the plug back in and fill it up until it starts coming out of the fill plug...thats how you know its full.

word of advice, burn the chilton or haynes, go fork out the extra cash for a nissan manual. The pictures alone are more worth it, chiltons drawings look like something my 2 year old draws on a etch a sketch

for non-viscous diff you need 1.3 liters of oil. For viscous you need 1.5 liters of oil. You may also use 80w-90 as well. 75w is a little hard to find for me at least.

yea be careful when you're undoing those plugs though, my drain plug was in there real good sending my hand flying through the underside of my car after my extension slipped putting quite the gash in my hand. Oh might want to have one handy for "just in case" if yours happens to strip.
