I have a short nose r200 vlsd out of a 95' q45 in my 77 280z. The front of it starte leaking so I pulled the companion flange assembly out to change the front pinon seal. My question is this. Can the front pinon seal be changed by simply removing the companion flange or do the guts have to come out of the diff in order to install it? The seal I pulled out doesn't look like any of the ones I've seen on line or the correct part number I ordered and yes I'm sure I have the right seal. If anyone has a link to a r200 vlsd diff rebuild I'd love to see it.

I've replaced the seals on the rear and you don't have to gut it. Even if you do take it apart it's not that hard to do.
