Diff for z31

need a diff for my 86 non turbo z31 need to get ride of the open diff and have lsd so i can drift please if anyone can help me out thank would be really apreciated thanks

open your wallet, the 87.5-88 300zx turbo's all came with CLSD except the 88SS which got the VLSD (thsi one requires shaft swap as well) the CLSD's bolt right in in place of your exhisting diff, but used they tend to go for $600 or so, new ones are $900 and up, if all you want to do is drift, just weld it and be sure to stiffen the crap out of the rear suspension, all that compliance will give you traction, which is the opposite of drifting

I'm in the midst of parting an '85 300ZX. I was under it today to remove the drive shaft.

It's an LSD

Which LSD is it? The 85's didn't come with LSDs.

Yeah.. I have an 86T and am without a LSD. try lifting the cars rear end and spinning a wheel to make sure. Lucky find if it is one. = )
